James William Wardell

James William Wardell is on the right of the photo, he lived in Topcliffe Street,  Hartlepool. The photo shows him receiving the Eastern Region British Railway Staff Association Shield at the Regional Fur & Feather Show for the best fancy breed pigeon in 1980. Jim Wardell won this four times 1971 ---1976-----1977----1980

Jim bred pigeons for 60 years and won at most pigeon shows. Below is a copy of a letter sent to Jim Wardell in 1949 regarding some yellow Magpie Pigeons.
